Calendar not resetting

When you clear or reset the date range, the calendar does not reset. For example, if I pick a date in august and then I clear the data range picker, when I go back into the calendar it will still be in the month of august rather than todays date. If this is intentional, add the functionality of being able to configure if the calendar should reset back to todays date or not. Overall user experience would be improved if it were to be cleared and reset back to todays date.

Following up as this is a roadblock for a client. Here is a clear example of the problem:

Hits clear, yet still shows the month of may:

It should reset back to todays date.
