HTML in Product Category Description - Does not work with "Post Name" Permalinks #1253
Comments
Any idea, anyone? Has anybody experienced this bug before or is it just me? Thanks a lot, |
I just tested html in descriptions with no issues. Something else must be affecting it. Try regular post categories - they would have the same problem as this is a wordpress solution, not woocommerce. |
I apologize - I didn't notice that other images were not showing as well! For others with the same problem: simply add the full url to your images (not solely wp-content/...). Thanks again, |
How do you display the category description in a product page ? |

Hi everybody, hi Mike,
I have found the following bug/issue:
I'd like to add an image into my woocommerce product category description (I have also found this post which allows html in the product categories: http://wcdocs.woothemes.com/snippets/allow-html-in-term-category-tag-descriptions/)
This all works perfectly when having selected "default" permalink setting in wordpress.
However, when I now switch to "Post Name" permalinks, the html/image is removed from the category description (the code is not shown as text, so I assume woocommerce still recognizes it, but there must be an issue with the post name permalinks). I have also created a new category (after having switched to post name permalinks, but still same issue). Regular text does get displayed, solely html does not ;(
I Hope you can help me out...as I have said, since the html code does not appear as regular text woocommerce must identify it as html...so I hope the fix is not too complicated.
Thanks a lot for all your support,
Rich
