Maybe an update of the virtualbox docker images is necessary too. I'm not sure about it but the latest phpVirtualBox didn't work with the virtualbox docker image. I made several changes to the involved docker images (virtualbox, vboxwebservices....) and afterwards phpVirtualBox didn't understand the resposnes from vboxwebservices.
