Maybe it's time we allow folks to group modules under one heading within the RACHEL menu.

Group1
Module1
Module2
Group2
Module3
Module4
...

This feature would be accessible from the rachel main page admin menu.

Agree - particularly helpful for language sorting. French / modules 1,2,3
English / modules 1,2,3 etc

So how would this work? Here's my first thought

  1. admin users can create arbitrary groups on the admin page
  2. admin users can drag and drop modules into those groups
  3. on the front page the group names are displayed as headings

Does this sound about like what you're thinking of?

@needlestack That sounds perfect. My original example for doing this is in dual-language CAPs (something @j-schwartz mentioned as well). What that really leads to and options I would like to see added with this:

  • the ability to show and remove groups (by admins)
  • the ability to collapse groups on the front page (by users)
-- also, the ability of admins to set the "default state of a group" (i.e. is the group collapsed or expanded by default on the front page)
