Nuzlocke Information

The game should be perfectly fine for a nuzlocke challenge, even a Hardcore one. I know people have nuzlocked much more difficult hacks than this one.

Some general information:

  • Stat experience is in the game. I did not plan on disabling it. If the game becomes popular and Hardcore Nuzlockers think is still too easy, will look into making an alternate patch that disables
  • Encounters are much more diverse than the base game, almost all first forms are avaiable by the time you're around celadon, barring some single stages that are avaiable after getting to the safari zone. And all fishing rods have a lot of variety depending where you fish.
  • The AI of trainers follows pretty much like the original game, with the exception of "some trainers like to use a boosting move on the second turn" which they now do on the first turn, however the extra actions they can perform (use potions at low health, using X-Items, switching out) are more diverse, so expect strong trainers to make different actions compared to vanilla.
  • Regarding gift pokemon, they havent't really changed other than Celadon. If you find choosing between the gift eevee, the game corner pokemon, fishing in the pond, and the fossil pokemon, keep in mind that code wise, the room where you get the fossils is "still" coded as part of Cinnabar island, with the only difference that you enter it from Celadon, and that the map displays it as in celadon city. -If you want to look at more precise info regarding encounters, or to plan repel manipulations, look in /data/wild/maps/ and look at specific maps you want, the fishing rod encounters are in the prior folder.

Level Caps:

Boss Level cap
Brock Level 14
Misty Level 23
Lt.Surge Level 29
Erika Level 35
Koga Level 43
Sabrina Level 49
Blaine Level 55

If your cap for the E4 is the max level of the 4th member, in that case that would be lance at lv71.
