With a current miktex (but not yet with texlive) I get this error when loading unicode-math in a minimal lualatex document:

! Undefined control sequence.
\um_set_mathsymbol:nNNn #1#2#3#4->\tl_case:Nnn

@davidcarlisle No, "um" is the unicode-math prefix and the command tl_case:Nnn is in unicode-math-luatex.sty (fontspec has been updated in miktex yesterday, so this is no longer a problem).

I can confirm that I observe the same issue with TL2015. This can be fixed by merging #302: I’ve manually fixed the files unicode-math-*.sty to make thinks work again.

with xelatex there is a similar error in texlive 2015.

I am seeing the same error and opened an issue in latex3 GitHub issue tracker. But It turns out that this need to be fixed in Unicode-math
