The first value being the file type assumption is proved to be wrong. Consider joining the ctr-tools discord #crash-bash channel, if you're interested.

some renamed ntsc-u files based on contents: https://github.com/CTR-tools/CTR-tools/blob/master/ctr-tools/CTRFramework/Data/bash_filelist.txt

known exe md5 and corresponding file table offsets: https://github.com/CTR-tools/CTR-tools/blob/786be1aee0a7d19d471f74c2e6cb309cb246f585/ctr-tools/cmd_tools/bash_dat/Program.cs#L77

Oh good to know. Thank you.

If there's research done already then I suppose I've done double the work.

The reason I made this was to access the music data, so I just shared my code that I used.

I'll consider joining, but I'm not very active on Discord servers so I doubt I'll be of much help. You guys already have this figured out.

there is generally not much going on with bash, but whenever somebody feels like poking bash files we share it there.
we identified all music files, you can extract bash music using vgmtrans iirc.
