I tried to follow the instructions in the README but the package didn't show up from ELPA.

I haven't packaged this on ELPA and I'm not sure it's even substantial enough to do so. If you want to install this you need to either (1) download the package to your load path or (2) use a package manager like straight.el which can install from a github repository. Alternatively you could copy the contents of ob-d2.el directly to your configuration. It is only ~40 lines of code omitting the comments.

There was an error in my suggested usage of use-package which I fixed in #3 too

I think adding the package to melpa might be useful. It would provide the package with more visibility, and it would ease its installation/config.

I've now packaged this on Melpa so if you have Melpa enabled you can install use Emacs' built-in package.el alone or in combination with use-package.
