Bug Description

Since Xemu 0.7.96 release on, the emulator exe does not launch on my PC ( so this happens on latest releases since 0.7.96 ). This means, the executable won´t open. I put the executable inside a folder and put the rest of the files that I use for other releases that work ( the "dll" files ), in the same folder.

The last release that worked fine on my PC was 0.7.95.

¿Did the hardware requirements change in latest builds?

Expected Behavior

The program should start.

xemu Version

0.7.96 and following releases.

System Information

OS: Windows 11 23H2 64bits
CPU: Pentium E5700 3.0 Ghz

Thanks for the detailed report. Please follow these steps to generate a core dump and send it to me privately.

I followed the steps you indicated, and found that the "debug releases" of the emulator work fine, but the normal releases do not work. I mean, the "normal" releases are the ones that I download from EmuCr ( don´t know if they are called nightly builds or so ).
I managed to get a crash dump file of around 75 mb. I zipped the file, but it is still too big to upload here.

How do I send you the file privately ?

What is EmuCr? The official release page for xemu is https://xemu.app. Only builds downloaded from https://xemu.app (or https://github.com/xemu-project/xemu/releases) are supported.

EmuCr ( https://www.emucr.com ) is an emulation page that has all the last releases of emulators, they add them as soon as they appear on Github, they are the same files that can be downloaded from Github.
Now I have downloaded the last xemu release from "https://github.com/xemu-project/xemu/releases" , and doesn´t work ( doesn´t open, crashes ). So the problem are the normal releases, which do not work on my PC. But the "debug releases" work - I see the "win-release" exe file has a different size from the "win-debug" exe, so there is something in the debug version that makes the executable work fine.

Please let me know how do I upload or send you a crash dump file that is more than 30 mb in size, so that you can check the issue. Thanks!
