Fix compilation on Fedora 36 with openssl 3.0.0

Still compiles on RHEL/CentOS 7 with openssl 1.0.2k

Hi @ellert : thanks a lot for the PR! Could you change it so it goes to the openssl3 branch instead of master? For now, we will make those changes only available on fedora rawhide as we don't have enough manpower to test it properly.
