Investigate Inappropriate Link #1372
Comments
A link to that GitHub repository indeed currently exist on that page. I have no information on the affiliation of its owner. The link provides limited added value. We could err on the side of caution and remove the hyperlink, leaving the text as-is. |
I may be missing the point, but isn't the linked page just a bot library, like SleekBot for XMPP or whatever? Not that I feel strongly about keeping it, but it seems odd. |
It's been reported that at https://xmpp.org/uses/instant-messaging/ there is a link to https://github.com/tomer8007/kik-bot-api-unofficial and that this GitHub account is owned by a cracker group that uses the API to build spambots on the XMPP network. This commit removes that link. fixes xsf#1372

If this turns out to be true, we should remove the link.
