A collection of things I made while taking CS 1 & 2

These are not formatted to be run using the desktop version of CMU Graphics. However, it wouldn't be hard to format it and run them locally. All of the files have a link on the first line to run them in your browser.

  • CMU Composer - This was my final project. You can create very short sequences of "music" using CMU's CS2 package. This has bugs I couldn't work out before the due date unfortunately. This project features an advanced UI and a few UX elements I was pretty proud of. This is my magnum opus, albeit it being unfinished. I may go back and remake it, but I have little reason to at the current moment. I took inspiration from Ableton. (375 lines!)
  • Custom Profile Pic - This is dated on 3/18/22, all it does is takes advantage of the fact you can set your CMU profile picture to a screenshot of a canvas image inside CMU (instead of the default Panda-thing). I found the API call, and it turns out you can just put any 400x400 jpeg in the request and it will work. Something to note: this does require your authentication token, which can give people access to your account. Please be mindful sharing this. This doesn't require CMU Graphics and will work by itself.
  • Tic-Tac-Toe - It's tic-tac-toe, may have 1 or 2 bugs, I can't remember it's almost a year old now. You can go against a "ai" which just randomly picks available spaces, or a friend. Has a menu.
  • Type and Run - This is archaic, one of my first sandbox projects. Essentially, you can type out code and run it without restarting the app. Uses python's built in eval method.
  • Velocity Demo - Super simple, slightly buggy, velocity/friction demo. I don't know about physics, but I thought it was cool. There's a more detailed description in the file itself.
  • Zombie v2 - There was a v1, but it was barely functional. This is another extremely large project (390 lines!) which involves a ton. I could probably write a whole essay on the inner workings of this app. I submitted it to the 2022 Fall Creative Task Competition, albeit not winning the Unit 12 category, I'm still very proud of it. Features a debug mode with cheats, random bullet spread (gets more unstable as it is in the air), a fairly large map, top-down camera with an unfixed canvas (allowing the user to explore the whole map while inside the canvas using math), OOP concepts, and more. It's a top-down endless shooter which takes inspiration from things like: Enter the Gungeon, call of duty zombies, old scratch.org projects, and the black ops dead ops arcade game mode.   • I have a TON of projects stashed away in my sandbox, most being unfinished or just creative tasks that are boring. (50+ projects)
