This mainly applies for loading large activities from the activity summary

Added a way to asynchronously add items to the view

Still might be a good idea to add a loading animation as per #38 ? But for now it seems to be somewhat mitigated as the appearing of dots can act as a loading animation of sorts (albeit a bad one)
