Edward was taking a while to print the status (a few seconds)
After killing some services for other reasons, everything sped up. I suspect it was the service with 986447 lines in the log slowing it down.

Service status is now stored at regular intervals by the runner, and the status command loads the existing stored status. This should now be significantly faster.
