RealWorld Example App

Example of a Kotlin-based Quarkus application containing real world examples (CRUD, auth, advanced patterns, etc) that adheres to the RealWorld API spec.

This codebase was created to demonstrate a fully fledged fullstack application built with Quarkus including RESTful services, CRUD operations, authentication, routing, pagination, and more.

We've gone to great lengths to adhere to the Quarkus community styleguides & best practices.

For more information on how to this works with other frontends/backends, head over to the RealWorld repo.

Prerequisites

  • Java 11 installed and set as default.
  • Gradle 6.8.3 or higher installed.

How to start a local version of the app:

  • Run: ./gradlew --console=plain quarkusDev
