Rise Above The Disorder's Donation System

We're looking for volunteers with frontend, backend, ux, and similar skillsets to help us overhaul our donation system.

Specific Goal

Create a donation system that improves donation completion rate, provides clear user feedback throughout the process, and allows for multiple methods of payment accessible globally.

The donation system should have several features, each organized as critical, complimentary, and cool to have.

Critical

• Ability to choose whether to donate once or setup a monthly donation via Stripe.
  • Monthly donations should be pre-fixed amounts, as products on Stripe.
  • One time donations should have both pre-fixed amounts and a custom amount option.
• Auto-generated receipt provided on the success page.
  • Should include the date, amount donated, the name and email of the donor, and RAD's information.
  • Should only appear when Stripe has confirmed the donation checkout was a success.
• Database storage of failed and successful donations.
  • Monthly donations should also include a state for active or inactive(expired).
  • Details should at least include name & email.
• Accessibility and low-cognitive load design.
  • Components across each aspect should be easily navigated by screen readers and with keys/tab.
  • User's should only be faced with necessary steps, resulting in minimal, but highly visible interaction.

• Monthly donor integration based perks.
  • Connect Discord to be given a monthly donor exclusive role.
• PayPal payment options.
  • Ideally, this would include Venmo.
• Cryptocurrency payment options.
  • Ideally, this would include Bitcoin & Ethereum.
• Twitch subscription option.
  • Donating a Twitch subscription as a monthly giving option.
  • Gifting a Twitch subscription as a one-time donation option.
• Company donation matching with Double the Donation™
  • API that automatically sends a request to the donor's employer donation matching benefit to match this donation.
• Automated email feedback.
  • Automated email to confirm donation success and include donation receipt.
  • Automated email to warn when a monthly donors card is expiring.
  • Automated email to acknowledge and recapture failed donations.
• Donation dedications.
  • Expandable text inputs to dedicate the donation in someone's name, memory or honor.
  • Shareable dedications, to post to social media highlight the donation made in someones name, memory, or honor.
