Editor font can't be changed #125
Comments
I had similar issue. But tried to increase font size only. Select button was enabled when I've reselected the same Font name. |
As much as I can see, it is able to detect "some part" of the change. For example, if I select "Times Regular" then it is displayed as "Arial Regular". If I select "Times Italic" then it is displayed as "Arial Italic". It seems to reflect the italic/non-italic style of the selected font and the size but nothing else. It looks like Meld knows only Arial and Arial Italic in various sizes but apart from these, only the system fixed width font can be used. The problem from my perspective is that Arial is not even monospaced. If I want to see monospaced font then the only option is the system fixed width font, of which I cannot even change the size. I would be happier if, at least, I could use various sizes of Courier rather than Arial. |
Same here, it is nearly impossible to use Meld on Mac due to very low font size, without any possibility to increase. While manually changing font only displays arial. |
@yousseb I don't know if you've abandoned this project or not, but if you haven't, can you PLEASE fix this issue and publish a new version? This one makes Meld very difficult to use. |

I'm unable to change the editor font. Going to Preferences, picking a new font, and clicking "Select" has no effect.
