PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE OPENING ISSUES AND PULL REQUESTS
Thank you for visiting ytdl-patched, and opening issues or pull requests here. But I have some favors to ask before actually opening issues or pull requests, that are not mentioned in the template.
Please try with yt-dlp first
This project is based on yt-dlp and shares a lot of code.
A bug found in ytdl-patched may be reproduced in yt-dlp as well. If so, I'd like you open a new issue at yt-dlp instead.
If you get "Unsupported URL" error on yt-dlp while you didn't on ytdl-patched, you can also open an issue too.
For the following sites, you can directly open an issue without trying with yt-dlp:
Niconico (including Niconico Live)
AbemaTV
Mirrativ
OpenRec
Please do not open "just documentation change" PRs
I intentionally leave some part of documentation and code of this repository mentioning "yt-dlp". It is by design to reduce the change of merge conflicts.
There may be typo in documentation, but please let it be. I'll fix it once I discovered it.
If you're going to open a PR fixing all typo and proofreading, please do.
Thank you for your cooperation.
