ECHO for Spotify

Welcome to ECHO, an innovative app that allows you to visualize your Spotify listening history, create beautiful visuals, and share your music journey with others.

Features

  • Visualize Your Listening History: Get a vibrant, dynamic representation of your Spotify history.
  • Interactive Visuals: Engage with your history like never before. Click, drag, zoom, and explore your music.
  • Share Your Journey: Generate unique links to share your visualizations with friends, family, or social media.

Planned Features

  • Custom Visualization Styles: In future updates, we plan to introduce a variety of unique styles for visualizations. Choose one that best represents your music taste.
  • Time Machine: Travel back in time and see what your musical journey looked like at any point in the past.
  • Playlist Insights: Get detailed insights and visualization of specific playlists.
  • Compare Histories: Compare your listening history with friends or public figures.

Tech Stack

ECHO is built with a cutting-edge tech stack to provide the best possible user experience:

  • Frontend: The frontend of the app is built with ReactJS for its efficiency and flexibility in building user interfaces. It is styled using Bootstrap a CSS framework for rapidly building modern responsive user interfaces.
  • Backend: The backend is powered by Django, a high-level Python web framework that encourages rapid development and clean, pragmatic design. With Django, we're able to manage user accounts, handle API requests, and maintain reliable connections with Spotify's API.
  • Database: We use PostgreSQL, an open source relational database, due to its extensibility and standards compliance.
