Wrong (and location restriced) version of song is added to Library #23
Comments
Thanks for the report. It doesn't look like I can test with the song you've linked, as it doesn't appear to be available in the Canadian store. This is something that'll will have to be reported to Apple, since the application simply sends the ID of the song to add. As for the "unexpected error" message when you try to play it, can you check the console for the more detailed error message? |
@zachomedia Can you tag this one as submitted to Apple - Pedro has filed a Radar on this. |
@jaehess Done |
Seems some kind some kind of fix happened on this particular song when the issue was brought to light publicly. There were 2 songs I had this issue with, and one of them is "not available anymore" and the other one is fixed. This seems to be a recurrent issue. Hopefully it was fixed for these people as well and will not appear in the future. So I can't repro it anymore and therefore can't look at the console for detailed error message. |
@pedrogarcia Thanks for the update and submitting a Radar to Apple about this. Let me know if you hear anything back from Apple. |
I tried adding this song to Library https://itunes.apple.com/br/album/they-long-to-be-close-to-you/14172524?i=14172565&l=en.
Instead of adding that song, it added another version from a generic compilation album that is not available in my location. So while streaming is fine and works, the version that was added is wrong and does not play.
When I try to play the song added it gives "unexpected error" message.
