Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 5.0.3 / stable
  • Installation method (source, package, ..): any
  • Operating system: any
  • Database + version: any
  • Elasticsearch version: any
  • Browser + version: any (verified on Google Chrome 96.0.4664.110)
  • Ticket: #1099730

Expected behavior:

If you try to open a no longer available knowledge base entry via public help page, Zammad will return HTTP/404 together with it's error page.

-> This allows search engines to recognize content no longer being available

Actual behavior:

Zammad returns HTTP/200 no matter if the answer is available or not.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • create a category and one public answers
  • navigate to any of these answers on public interface
  • remove your chosen answer and refresh your browser (check response codes)

Yes I'm sure this is a bug and no feature request or a general question.
