Basically, title. We can definitely do a better job rendering md than VSCode is doing here.

@iamnbutler I had this on my mind too. I was hesitating because I don't want to lose the current one-font approach, which is super slick. 😬

We actually have two fonts 😁 Zed Mono and Zed Sans (which is quasi-proportional, it take up less space but looks similar for places that mono isn't needed to line everything up.)

Just came here to say that this is one of the significant gaps I feel compared to VS Code or Sublime. I'll also note that I would very much want this to be customizable to use specified fonts, a la the discussion at #5286: having it use the system native font and presentation would go a long way toward making Zed feel more native, and presenting it in a smaller size would go a long way toward improving the information density.
