When I search for something (eg, ->>), the results are presented as links, and clicking them takes me to the relevant page, as expected. However, I often use middle-click or control-click to open links in a new tab; this doesn't work on those search-result links. On my current browser (Chrome 33.0.1750.117), any kind of click navigates to the result in the current tab.
