Unlike I commented here, this actually can happen in real life scenarios.

Zotero is currently using 5.5 GB with no PDF open. Triggering GC doesn't help. Seems like a Firefox bug. I'll try to investigate if it's possible to work around this.

Actually after maybe 20 minutes the ghost terminated itself and the memory usage dropped to normal level (1.3 GB with no PDF).
