Toolbelt includes a Markdown block. This makes it easy to use your favourite markup flavour when writing content in the block editor.

Note: This does not work in the classic editor. You must be using the new block editor to be able to make use of the Markdown block.

Shortcodes

The Markdown block supports shortcodes. Enter them as you would in the Classic editor and they will be output on the front end. Note that you will not get a preview of the shortcodes in the editor. You have to view the front end for the changes to be visible.

Markdown Library

The Markdown block uses the Marked JS library to convert the text into HTML.
