Frank and Ginger the Serratus Mascots
Frank (ERR2756788) the Vampire Bat lives in Peru. He likes to hang around and is a total sucker for llamas. Ginger (SRR7287110) is a curious housecat in China who perpetually pokes her nose where it doesn't belong, often picking up stray viruses.
Frank and Ginger were the first samples where we "hit" and identified a new Coronavirus strain, one not available in GenBank. Since then they have become the mascots for the team.
