Last week during the meeting we discussed the results of the correlation that we did not see in sheriff hours and centrality, betweenness, nor degree. I have been doing investigations on the new kinds of correlations we will use in R to get over some of the problems we think might be impacting the correlations. For example, there are a LOT of zero values for sheriff hours... I am working on a correlation that would only look at values where sheriff hours is not equal to zero. 'For non-zero values of sheriff hours.. the more hours you have the more likely you are to be well connected in the graph?' and also a check for yes/no.. sheriff hours equals 1 or 0. 'If you have any sheriff hours at all are you more likely to be connected?'

Results soon to come.
