Global Hackathon Prizes
We'll be featuring all the winners of our Global Hackathon prominently in our official blog and app gallery. It's the first step towards ultimate glory and becoming the stuff of legends.
Oh yeah, and we'll be giving out some prizes too.

In addition to the Grand Prize Finalist Prize (see below!), the total, absolute, champion hack wins the foursquare hackathon TITLE BELT.
You're a champion, isn't it about time you started dressing like one? One size fits most.
The belt will really pull together your outfit when you have dinner with Naveen. Oh, right, I forgot to mention -- we’ll cover* the cost of transportation to NYC & one hotel night so you can have an intimate dinner with our dapper co-founder.
BONUS! Foursquare platform evangelist Akshay and O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures's very own Bryce Roberts will be joining too!

The most popular three hacks will become part of our new Platformer badge
which unlocks when a user connects their account to all three of the hackathon winners and checks-in with at least one of them.
The participants from each official site will vote for their favorite X hacks and each will receive a people's choice prize. X(site) = site.hackers.size()/30. We will also award prizes to the 5 most popular hacks from all around the world
The People's Choice Prize is:

- Foursquare swag packs (mayor hoodie, foursquare ball, and special t-shirt! Max 4 packs / team)

The best, most suitable (see details) hack using the Venue Push API will be run live* on the NASDAQ screen in Times Square!
BONUS! NASDAQ will cover** the cost of transportation to NYC for 2 members of your team to see your hack in action on the big screen! Be sure to pack your video camera!
Details: The NASDAQ screen renders a 550x720 browser page in IE, supporting both Javascript and Flash. If your hack is selected, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with engineers at NASDAQ to tailor your hack to best work on the screen.

$500 in Twilio credit (that's 50,000 SMS messages!) will be awarded to five best hacks combining the foursquare and Twilio APIs. Now when your app blows up on the Twitters, you won't be stuck with some giant-ass telephony bill!
The team with the best hack combining the foursquare + Twilio APIs will score a meeting with Brad Burnham and Albert Wenger of Union Square Ventures. Twilio will cover* the cost of transportation to NYC & one hotel night so you can be well rested and relaxed when they get all tongue-twisted talking to you!

The best app combining foursquare and Stupeflix APIs receives $2,000 in credit towards commercial use of the Stupeflix API and a subscription for a year to the PRO plan of Stupeflix Studio from Stupeflix

Be started and completed during the hackathon weekend. Submit your hack to our voting site by the end of Sunday in your local time zone.
The "Dinner with Naveen" portion of the Grand Prize is dependent to your local law regarding contests / visa situations / etc.
