It would be good to use an OpenID solution rather than requiring users to create yet another username/password pair for our site. I haven't looked into how hard this is.

I actually have to disagree. OpenID is nice in principle, but I don't think the complexity (both to implement as well as on the user end) is worth it.

I still think OpenID would be nice if someone wants to do it. I think it's a lot less complicated than OAuth, both for the end user and from our point of view.
