I have configured Adaway to start the ad VPN (nice feature BTW!).
Unfortunately, when I pause (in the notification bar) or stop (in the app) the VPN continues to run and it is not easy to stop it: one has to click the small 'key' symbol in Android's notification bar , then be redirected in the Android preferences, then stop the VPN. So everything happens outside the adwaway app.
Expected Behavior
It would be more coherent if everything is stopped when I ask Adaway to stop running.
(another possibility would be to have the VPN appear in the main Adaway app GUI and have a 2nd "Stop VPN" button)
Steps To Reproduce
Open AdAway
Goto "Preferences"
Select "Ad blocker based on RPV" (sorry raw translation from French app)
Select 'Activate at startup' (sorry raw translation from French app)
Go back to first screen in AdAway app
Start AdAway
Stop AdAway, either by going to the first screen in AdAway app or by hitting "pause" in notification bar.
VPN still runs
Device Configuration
AdAway version: 6.1.1
Ad-blocker mode: Default + RPV
Device: Doogee N10
Android version: 8.1.0
Root version: ??

I have just witnessed this behavior too; I had to terminate the AdAway process and restart the app to get the pause/start button to align with what the notification was telling me about the state of the app. It was very strange.
Is there an existing issue for this?
