I'm having an issue with the 'Shoppix' app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kantarworldpanel.shoppix&hl=en_GB&gl=US&pli=1) installed on my Android device (Google Pixel 2XL) when AdGuard is running.
When I try to login I receive an error saying "Connection required. Please try again when you're back online".
I have looked in the filtering log and occasionally see requests being blocked, but not every time I try to log in, only occasionally. I have tried adding exceptions for the requests being blocked, but this doesn't seem to have helped (even after a restart and shoppix-app reinstall).
If I disable 'Route traffic through AdGuard' for this specific app in the AdGuard settings, I am able to login in again. If I then re-enable 'Route traffic through AdGuard' whilst the shoppix app is still running, it acts as if it doesn't have an internet connection, insisting that it is offline.

Hi ,
It works in the latter two cases, the ones with HTTPS filtering disabled:
HTTPS filtering in network settings - disabled, DNS filtering - disabled
HTTPS filtering in network settings - disabled, DNS filtering - enabled
I think I may have originally downloaded the shoppix app from somewhere like APKpure too, come to think of it. It's version 7.7.0, if that's useful.
HTTPS filtering for the shoppix app is enabled, and I have root access. I think the certificate is installed in the system store, but not sure how to check that.
As expected it works again when the protection is fully turned off.

Ok. Is HTTPS filtering of this app enabled or disabled (default)? Is device with root access?
Please also test when all at the Protection tab is turned off.

@mattjbr123 Not all apps trust to AdGuard self-signed certificate. Please check another apps, and check when HTTPS filtering is disabled for this app.

Btw I have a rooted device, but cannot install on both(

Most other apps seem to work fine.
Normally I get notifications when apps don't trust the AdGuard certificate, but haven't for this app.
Do you mean you can't install the app or the certificate into the system store?
@Alex-302 commented on Fri May 19 2023
Yes. Better just disable https filtering for this app.
@zloyden Please check on your rooted device.

I don't see blocked requests on my side, but I have the same error, and it occurs when filters are disabled but protection is left enabled.
