Currently creating an Enterprise project requires hand editing and re-entering of information.
After the user picks the groupId and artifactId, the system chooses the latest community release
The user indicates that the selction is incorrect
The user must then re-enter everything
The user must manually edit the pom.xml and change from alfresco-public to alfresco-private
These extra steps could represent confusing steps to developers who are not regular users of maven.
This would impact developers who are our enterprise customers, and that is something that we would want to avoid.
I agree, let's close this. It's better to have an enterprise profile, rather than a whole different archetype.
I just added integration tests of the 3 archetypes against Enterprise edition (version 5.0.0-SNAPSHOT for now), so this should always work from now on.
