I would like to set for every single feed if the episodes have to appear into the queue or not.
I can just set it for each episode, unfortunately not for an entire feed.

The title is supposed to be a pun, huh?

Not sure what exactly you are asking for. Do you want to add all or multiple episodes of a feed to the queue? If so, try pressing the gears in a feed's view.

Hi, thank you for the speedy answer!
By pressing the gear I can add the selected episodes (even all the episodes) to the queue, but not exclude from the queue.
I use to listen to some feeds every day: their episodes have to appear in the queue.
Some other feeds are not daily broadcasted: i would like that they do not appear in the queue. The queue is the place where I "live" every day.
Some feeds are something like "archives" where I keep my episodes for weeks or months.

Still rather confusing description...

Basically, you don't want the app to add an episode to the queue once the download has finished? (An episode will only appear in the queue if either you added it yourself of it was downloaded).

I guess you're asking here for an extra option in the feed settings like 'Don't add episodes to the queue after downloading them' (?)

[Just pulling up #1147 for future reference here]

Thank you keunes and mfietz, and sorry for my poor English, I'm an Italian native speaker.
That's exactly what I mean: an option in the feed settings like 'Don't add episodes to the queue after downloading them'.
So they don't disturb you while you're listening to the queue

@TomHennen I don't think this is how we want people to use the queue. Downloading something and not wanting to listen to it (not having it in the queue) doesn't really make sense to me, either.
KISS, can't make everyone happy, wontfix?

I agree. The primary method of using AntennaPod is via the queue. If we
ever add custom queues perhaps that would solve this issue.

IMHO there are essentially two ways to listen to podcasts: the first one is in chronological order (e.g. news or talk show). For this case using the tail is the best, especially for feeds with daily issues.
The second way is to listen to several episodes of the same feed one after the other in a row (e.g. serial, audio book chapters, lessons, lectures). In this other case, the queue doesn't work well because episodes of one feed are mixed toghether with episodes of other feeds.
It would be reasonable to have a feature that, when you start to play a podcast from the feed page, continues to play the next episodes of the same feed. A sort of "Start to play this podcast and play all the following episodes of this feed"

Reminds me of the following issue/discussion:
Option to auto download oldest episodes first #1077

Plus another discussion (which I can't think of how to find it) about continuing playing from the list playing was started from (use playlist if started playing from there, use feed list to get next episode if started playing from there): #1533

@paoloianes If you touch on the (i) on the podcast view, you can see the information of the podcast, and per-podcast settings. One of these settings is Include in auto downloads. If you remove this tickmark, episodes of this podcast will not appear in the queue anymore (but they will accumulate in the new episodes list). Does this function address your request?

But manually downloaded episodes will still be added to the queue... Don't think this solves the issue.

Sorry about the suggestion - I did not know this. Seeing there are several requests about play/queue management, maybe we should use the wiki to work on designing a useful and uncluttered interface for the play/queue?

This sounds like an enhancement to the new feature already implemented in beta which is to not add downloads to the queue. This further enhancement would allow that option on a per feed basis rather than the global option currently available in beta. It suprise me to see users that cannot comprehend this user requirement. It is the only way I use a podcast player. I want it to download all episodes of the many and varied podcasts that I am interested in then allow me to choose what I want to listen to on any day. I manually create the playlist using the queue for each listening session, e.g. journey to work.
