That would be useful for language learning podcasts.

@TomHennen maybe we could combine this with continuous playback (and get rid of the setting)? Soem switch, when playback ends "repeat this", "play next", "stop"?

I think they're different settings. I imagine you might want to set repeat
on an individual episode you're playing, while continuous playback is more
something that applies globally. Perhaps I don't understand.

Both answer the same question, "what to do when the current episode ends?"
If they are different settings, it gets rather confusing. Repeat one would practically overwrite the "continuous playback" setting which is not obvious to the user.

Is this feature already included into the player? I just wanted to add a new feature request but I searched before. I also use the software for language learning and have to repeat episodes manually (which is very uncomfortable with hand cloves on and cold weather ... the progress slider has a very small touch area and doesn't respond so good to slide input) .
So an "auto-replay until I press 'next'" feature would be very very helpful.

The issue is still open, so it's not included in the app. Apparently, no volunteer found this important enough to work on it, yet :)

Where do you think the new button should go?
How about putting it next to the star icon on top of the player?

IMHO: How about double use the play button. Repeats until "Next" pressed if the play button is touched longer than 5 secs? Also there need to be a visual indication that "endless repeat" is activated.
It seems to be a feature that is not often used so a extra button seems to be overkill.

I agree.

I agree, too :)

Repeats until "Next" pressed if the play button is touched longer than 5 secs?

That sounds like it will be extremely hard to find. I think it would fit better into the audio controls dialog that can be reached with the sliders icon on top.

I had doubts on my own idea because you are right. It would be very hard to find.
I would use this feature in context of a podcast because I also have podcasts which are not language related and from which episodes should not repeated.
So maybe the podcast preferences would be a better place. So it's per podcast activable.

People want all kinds of settings on a per-podcast basis. To be honest, I am not too happy with that. It introduces a lot of behavior that users might forget about some weeks after setting it up and that then confuses them later. I would vote to make it a simple toggle on the audio controls screen.

Any updates on this? It looks like the PR was closed and not merged. It looks like the work was completed too..

I would like to be able to configure AP in such a way, that when the last episode of the playlist has been played, it will automatically restart with the first episode of the playlist.

Is this the right place for this feature? Or should I create a separate issue?
