Exclude content from What's New, Search #154
Comments
Would this be set on a per-page basis, or a per-module basis? For example, I've always found it silly that creating a new menu link showed up in What's New. So, there are some modules that should just never be included in the "new" list, nor should we search their content. Your example, as I understand it however, would set this flag per-page. So if I'm not done with a page, I set it so it's not searchable and not listed as "new". This seems specific to Pagesmith. I think it's also part of the larger published vs unpublished feature for Pagesmith. If a page isn't published (still a work in progress), then it shouldn't be included in search nor "what's new". So, in that case I don't think we need a separate flag. We should just have this behavior be based on the published/unpublished status of the page. |
yes, exactly. and having what's new exclude menu, block etc, is a good idea However, there may be a page i need published but do not want to promote in On Mon, Jan 20, 2014 at 11:11 AM, Jeremy Booker notifications@github.comwrote:

So a flag in any content module that will cause search and/or What's new to ignore it while checked. Would be good for pages whose content has not yet been fully developed.
