Getting Started

Follow these instructions to set up a local development environment. Make sure you have Node.js (latest LTS version) and a Firebase account before you start.

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/AshishBarvaliya/LetterLinc.git

2. Navigate to the project directory:

cd LetterLinc

3. Install dependencies:

npm install

4. Set up Firebase:

• Create a .env file in the root of your project.
• Add your Firebase project configuration to .env. For example:

5. Run the development server:

npm run dev

Navigate to http://localhost:3000 to view your project running locally.

Usage

1. Create an Account/Login: Sign up or log in to access the cover letter generation features.
2. Upload Your Resume: Navigate to the resume upload section and upload your resume as a PDF.
3. Enter Job Description: Input the job description for which you are applying.
4. Generate Cover Letter: Click the generate button to produce your personalized cover letter.
5. Save, Export, or Edit: Once generated, you can save your cover letter, export it as a PDF, or make further edits.
