Easter Mode and Easter Collection

The songbook is stored as a collection of songs that are saved as HTML files. Upon request, these HTML files are converted into a single PDF file, ready for printing. You can print an arbitrary number of copies from this file and distribute the songbook wherever your needs are. However, what if you wanted to spice things up a little and create a copy that was a little different? It does not have to be a whole another songbook, just a modified song here and there...

These modified songs we can call easter eggs, because they will only be in a limited number of copies for poeple to find. This is the idea behind Easter Mode.

Activating Easter Mode

To be able to add easter eggs to your songbook and manage the Easter Collection you first need to enable it. It is rather easy, just create an empty file called easter.exe in the folder where the client (the .jar or .exe file) is located. On the next launch the Easter Mode should be enabled.

If you delete the easter.exe file, the Easter Mode will deactivate but your data will remain intact.

Easter Collection

Easter Collection is another collection of songs existing along with the standard collection. You can manage this collection the same way you manage the standard collection, that is through the Collection Editor window. In the Collection Editor window, you should have a tab with the Easter Collection.

Easter Switch

In the menu of the Main Window you should have a toggle switch called 'Easter Switch'. Setting this switch to the ON position will switch from the Standard Collection to the Easter Collection, which means that all the songs in the Easter Collection will replace songs of the Standard Collection with matching ids. This effect will be visible in the WebView that displays the song list and also in any output PDF file. Switching between collections refreshes the environment.
