GoCountry is a web application that allows users to search for countries by name and provides them with basic information about the country. This application is built using REACT.js and the Rest Countries API.
To use the GoCountry web application, simply go to the following link: https://augustine-edeh.github.io/GoCountry/. Once the page has loaded, you can enter the name of the country you want to search for in the search bar provided. Click on the "Search" button or press "Enter" to get the results.

- Get general information about a country, including its flag, name, capital city, region, subregion, status of independence, demonym, official lanuage(s), currency, calling code, population, area, an hypertext link to the map (Google Map) of the country and a list of clickable buttons to the bordering nations of the countries searched.

If you want to run this application locally, you will need to have Node.js and npm installed on your machine. Once you have those installed, follow these steps:
- Clone this repository.
- Navigate to the project directory in your terminal.
- Run the command
npm install
to install the necessary dependencies. - Run the command
npm start
to start the application. - Open your web browser and navigate to
http://localhost:3000
.
