What does this PR do?
Remove overwriting functionality from strax options as such functionality is much better covered by the child plugins. The reason not to use this kind of functionality would be simple, one would not track version increments from the
parentplugin as such. To prevent any confusion, let's remove the similar but not quite as thoroughly tested code from strax.This PR would revert #392.
