Barnsley and Middlesbrough see pupil exclusion rises of 300%

In October 2016 Laurence Cawley and Daniel Wainwright reported that the number of pupils expelled from schools in some parts of England had risen by more than 300% in three years.

The story was based on the latest government figures, covering the period 2014-15
