Create a Python virtual environment for the project.
$ virtualenv .venv

Activate the virtual environment:
a) For Windows $ ./.venv/Scripts/activate b) For Linux $ source ./.venv/Scripts/activate

Install Python dependencies for the project:
$ pip install -r requirements.txt $ python -m spacy download en_core_web_md $ python -m nltk.downloader wordnet $ python -m nltk.downloader omw

Install the Application Code into your virtual environment:
$ python setup.py install

Start the Flask development server:
$ python runner.py --port 8000

Open http://127.0.0.1:8000/ in a web browser to view the output of your service.
To run your tests locally, go to the root directory of the sample code and run
the python setup.py pytest
command, which AWS CodeBuild also runs through
your buildspec.yml
file.
