We recommend all users create a new wallet with the 1.0.1 version and transfer funds from old wallets. The 1.0.1 wallets allow recovery from a seed phrase and can import 1.0.1 and later wallets. (1.0.0 wallets can only be recovered from wallet.dat and have no way to import from a dumpwallet file or seed.)

  • Staking nodes can create a wallet with ./bitcoinc-cli mnemonic new and copy and paste the phrase at the end of ./bitcoinc-cli extkeyimportmaster (or use the script here to setup: https://github.com/Bitcoin-Confidential/BC-Script/blob/master/BC-Install-node.sh)
