FreeNAC provides LAN access control/Virtual LAN assignment (for network devices such as Servers, Workstations, Printers, IP-Phones ..) and live network end-device discovery (using syslog parsing and SNMP polling).

Both 802.1x and Cisco's VMPS port security modes are supported. VLAN, switch port management and documentation of Patch cabling is also included. It requires Cisco switches.

Code: This project has moved from Sourceforge (with Subversion), please checkout the 3.0 branch with git to get the latest production code.

Support: Use Github for issues, the old forum, mailing list and website are now readonly.

Jan.2010: The project has been in "maintenance mode" for several months now, meaning the core developers fix issues on site they run, but don't have time/labs for new features. Co/New-maintainers are needed. Freenac is Opensource and forking is easy on github :-)
