Backup Add Ons #2159
Comments
Just go to your profile's folder/extensions and here you will find xpis. |
Well, I spent the entire afternoon in getting to know Waterfox Classic and configuring it and after it did what I wanted it do do I shifted it from one partition to another. And now I open it and almost everything is gone. Okay, I thought, that 's like in Firefox Portable, when you go to about: profiles you will see two profiles there, one name default and the other named default.default, switch to the latter and all is well again - but nope there is only one profile. So where is my configuration gone? The add-ons are all still in the list and according to the list still enabled but they do not show and have no effect. So what the hell happened, and how do I get the thing working again? |
I use ExtExp previously from https://realityripple.com/Software/Mozilla-Extensions/ExtExp/. |
Possible force install addons again due drag-and-drop mechanism without lose own configs (then own icons should back to toolbars) - maybe works too on WF Classic. |
See about:profiles ? |
Addament: #2159 (comment)
Clear startup cache in Firefox also can recover hidden (glitched) addon buttons. Maybe identical in both Waterfoxes. |
Can a easy Add On Extension Backup feature be added so when a person is setting up a new
pc with Waterfox they can continue to use the Add On's by importing the extension .xpi ?
There is 2 I use and are useful which are no longer available for download
