Resetting CSUA Passwords

User Guide

Ask someone on root staff, either on #root-staff or in-person in 311 Soda.

Root staff Guide

User passwords are stored, salted and hashed, in LDAP, under the userPassword attribute. This is only visible to the user and root staff.

A script is available on soda, at /csua/utils/changeldappasswd.sh. This script will only work if the user running the script is either the same user as the user specified, or the user running the script is on root.
