The 2nd discussion that lead to the creation of this report has this reply from me, explaining the problem further:

tripleee That's OK. If we can accumulate a few examples we can post them there. It's a problem because you think that the post is deleted, so there's no purpose clicking the link unless you are 10K (2K on some sites), but the post is there and never has been deleted; we are simply offering extraneous false information. Thanks for the brief bug report, it's sufficient.

Example 1: Connect Trekking Bike Brakes to Road Bike Lever by user Seul on Mar 28 '16 at 20:08.

MS says: "... (deleted 41 minutes after being reported) reported 3 days ago ...".

Example 2: Not able to fetch recent record by date by user Khushiuka on this date 14 hours ago.

MS says: "... (deleted 6 minutes after being reported) reported 14 hours ago ...".

As undo has confirmed, neither has been deleted.

Pretty clear cause on this one - timeline for 10k on SO. For others, an answer to that question was deleted at exactly the same time metasmoke recorded that deletion. So it's picking up the answer deletion when it should only be looking at the question.
