WIKIMEDIA-MOCKUP-PAGE #2

This is a frontend project for the wikimedia Setup Frontend Web App for Toolhub records management needing a tool to be likened to a citation hunt. The project has been pushed to the repository - wikimedia-mockup-page. This mock design is inspired by the Citation Hunt Tool. The project is also deployed here.

User instruction.

This project was completed using the Django-python framework, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

To run this project, first become familiar with the mentioned django framework above. If you feel comfortable and confident enough based on the acquired knowledge of the same, clone this repository following the git command ; git clone repository-link.

You will also require dependencies such as - Django and Python-decouple, which were used for this project. To install them, you will require a virtual-environment of your choice, activate it and run commands; pip install django & pip install python-decouple.

To run the local-server, run the command; python manage.py runserver in your terminal.

Hooray!!!!!! You have your project cloned and running.

Known issues of the project

These project implements the use of JavaScript, however;

1. When using the buttons on the side to navigate through the various sections/pages, they overlap one another unless the home button is clicked on first.

2. The links do not lead to any external links as presumed since its a mock page of the original tool.

3. No API endpoints are used and so no data is collected or stored as it would be expected.
