I was doing a query on Chicago.Opengrid.io for “311 Street lights out” to show it to a colleague. I limited it to data after 07/04/2016, but the points came out without the limitation.
I think the data is not consistent with a date format. Here’s a screenshot that shows a point from 2010 and query limited to later than 07/04/2016.
The data returned did not filter by date. Date shown is formatted YYYY-MM-DD and goes back to 2010.
See attached. Shows the query that was run and a point from results where date is not in the filtered criteria.
We checked the Food Inspection date as well and seems to be generally true. Maybe application layer?
