fix: SocketServer class methods and properties

This commit refactors the SocketServer class by cleaning up the code and slightly modifying some methods. Specifically, the named class methods now have explicit return types where appropriate. Additionally, class property declarations were made more concise and style consistency was improved throughout the class.
