CocoaMSX is an MSX emulator for OS X. It's based on blueMSX, which is one of the most accurate MSX emulators currently available for Windows.
MSX was an attempt to create a standard computer architecture, largely driven by ASCII Corporation of Japan and Microsoft.
MSX machines were rarely seen in the US, but the MSX was quite popular in its heyday in many countries including Japan, Brazil, Netherlands, the former Soviet Union, as well as various other countries in Asia and Europe. Several video game franchises started out on the MSX, including Metal Gear, Parodius and Castlevania (as Vampire Killer).
